Director: Dr. Samantha Seals

Dr. Samantha Seals is an Associate Professor of Statistics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of West Florida.

Dr. Seals holds a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a MS in Mathematical Sciences from the University of West Florida, and a BS in Mathematics from the University of West Florida. Dr. Seals won the Charles R. Katholi Distinguished Dissertation Award in 2013, the UWF Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award in 2022, and the UWF Faculty Excellence in Undergraduate Research Mentoring Award in 2023.

Dr. Seals is especially passionate about collaborative statistics and training the next generation of statisticians, biostatisticians, and data scientists. Please see the Computational Geomorphology & Modeling Lab for more information about our work in Computational Environmental Science.
